I enjoyed blogging and reading. I can't use the computer very well, but I think my typing became faster than the beginning of this class. I like to read English books, so I want to read more.
When I heard that you watch 24 too, I was so excited! I like to watch 24, so I always look forward to coming Tuesday!

New Year

I spent New Year at my home in Saga with my family. On New Year's day, I ate OSECHI and drunk OTOSO. OSECHI is what most people in Japan eat at the beginning of the new year. Many of the delicacies inside are named in hopes for the families health and prosperity. Osechi isn't something you'll ever find on a Japanese menu. You can find it in the first few days in January, in the Japanese home.

OTOSO is a special drink of sweetened sake flavored with herbs. After exchanging New Year's greetings, family members drink otoso as a solemn rite. OTOSO is a healthy special drink. Children also drink it in the New Year. It's lucky drink.

Today, I woke up late again... Every Tuesday night I watch 24 on TV, so I get up late and I oversleep. I can't hear my alarms. It's my problem. I have to change my bad habit.

This time, I read Give us the Money. This story has Adam Gray. He works in a bank. He doesn't like his job and he dosn't like his boss. One day he tried to help a girl Serena, and he got into trouble with her. But it was a good chance for him. Finally, he was spotted and recruited as a movie star. This is very interesting story.

BOOK:13

This time, I read MEN IN BLACK . The story have Tommy Lee Jones as "Kay" and Will Smith as "Jay". Kay and Jay are Men in Black. They have a very important job. They and the other Men in Black have to find and watch all the aliens in the world. I like Will Smith, so I want to watch "the PURSUIT of HAPPYNESS".

BOOK:12

This time I read SCOOBY-DO! And The Zombie's Treasure. Scooby and the gang are going camping. But no ghost stories wiil be told around this campfire. A treasure-stealing zombie is haunting the campsite. It's up to Scooby-Doo and his friends to catch this zany zombie. I like this series very much! I want to read next.

BOOK:11

This time I read Two Boyfriends. Anna tried to see John and Tim(her real boyfriend) at the same time and same bar. She met John inside of the bar, and she met Tim outside of the bar. But they are friends, so her plan came out. She has an acquistive nature, so finally her plan was failed. She lost both of them.

Geo

Yesterday, I went to Geo to rent DVDs. I rented HOME ALONe 4 (the lower left), Sin City (right side) and The Grinch (the upper left). I haven't watched all of them. I like Home Alone and The Grinch, because it's really interesting and I like Christmas movies! Sin City was a little bit difficult for me and it was grotesque.

Gone with the Wind Part Two . The America Civil War is over. Scarlett has lost her husband and many friends in fighting. she was rich woman, but now she has no money. She has only Tara. Tara is her home where she grew up. She lost Captain Butler and she knew she loved him after he left from her. It is sad story, but I like this story.

BOOK:9

Gone with the Wind Part One. I watched this movie and Tkaraduka Opera Company's play on TV before, so I know this story. Main characters of this story are Rhett Butler, Scarlett O'Hara and Ashley Wilkes. Scarlett O'Hara is a widow and is not beautiful, but every man in Georia is in love with her. She loves Ashley in secret very much, but she knows that he is going to marry Melanie (Ash's cousin). Then Scarlett meets Captain Butler, and start a love storm. It is the greatest love story I think.

Birthday Party

Last Monday, Tomoko, Yuki, Mayumi, Sayaka, Yumi, Chiaki and me held a birthday party for Kanako:) She turned to be 20 years old! We presented to her Care Bear with our messages. We made Yuzu-Nabe for dinner. It was really good!! We had a great time!

BOOK:8

This time I read THE WIZARD OF OZ. I'll introduce the story. The twister takes Dorothy and Toto(her dog), and they arrive at Oz, and they meet Straw Man, Tin Woodman and Cowardly Lion. Then they go to Emerald City to meet the wizard of Oz to get their wish satisfied.
It is a very wonderful story. There are a lot of good places in this story. Emerald City is decoreted with emerald, so they need to wear green glasses.
The Country of the Quadlings is red. People live there like red very much.
The Country of the Munchkin is blue, because Munchkins love blue.
The Dainty China Country is made of china. In this country, even people are china.
The Deadly Poppy Field is dangerous. If you smelt at the poppy,
you will sleep forever.
The Field Mice is yellow county.
These are really interesting for me, so I like this story! I recommend
Emerald City, it will beautiful I think.

BOOK:7

This time I read ANNE OF GREEN GABLES. It called "Akage-no Anne" in Japan, because she has red hair. She is an orphan. She comes to Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert's home in Green Gables. She is sad girl, but after she came to Green Gables, her sad life and people around her begin to change.
It is wonderful story, it is Lucy Maud Montgomery's first book. She was a Canadian writer. I learned about her when I was a high school student, so I know about her a little bit. Anne of Green Gables is the most famous of her books.

Collaborative Essay

I collaborated with Masami. We will introduce about the beautiful sights of illumination in Kumamoto. Take a look at these!



This is Shower Street . This place is popular especially among young people. The illumination turn on from 17:00 until 22:30.
There are pay parkings, so you need a little money. I think there is one of a good dating spot for couple!



←This is Kikuyou Veterinary Clinic.
In the daytime, it looks like normal house, but in the evening it change its look! It is beautiful illuminated house like an American Christmas. I have never gone there, so I would like to go. I recommend you to go there!


















These are Saishunkan Pharmacy Company . We can see its illumination every year, but it will move from there. It is a very big illumination spot. There is Mos Burger in front of it, so you can see it in the Mos. You can see it from 18:00 until 22:00. Don't miss it!






This is Aso Farm Land . The illumination tunnel is the longest in West Japan. The span of the tunnel is about 200m and it has 3million lights. Last year, I visited there two times to see the Tunnel. It is really beautiful! When you go there, you need to dress warmly, because it is very cold. There is a hot spring in there, so you can take a bath if you want.






Here is DIAMOND CITY CLAIR . This is Clair's Christmas Tree! It is very tall and blue tower. You can enjoy the tree and of course shopping!
You can see the tree from the food court. It's a nice view! Clair has held X'mas sale now, so you can buy anything cheaper:)

BOOK:6

This time I read HEIDI . When I was a kid, I often watched it on TV. I like this story's opening, because Heidi's swing is wonderful!! It hanging from the sky! I also like opening song. It always makes me happy! Heidi always eats white bread and goat cheese, and drinks goat milk , and sleeps on hay-bed. I would love to try all of them! Hay-bed is made of hay. It was made by her grandpa. My favorite scene is Clara stands and walk! Clara is one of Heidi's best friend, and she couldn't walk, so she always use wheelchair, but peter (the Goat Boy) thrown away Clara's wheelchair, so she practiced in walking with Heidi. Finally, she can walk by herself! It is good story. I learned importance of family and friends to me from this story.

NEW BYCICLE

I bought new folding bicycle!! It is orange color and it has 6 settings. I like it very much! I have to be careful about robbery.

This time I read "My little pony" and "Little spotted calf". I bought them in America. "My little pony" is famous character in America and Japan. It is very pretty. I like to read picture book, so I have some picture books in my house. I often read them again, because I like them. I am interested in English picture book, so I want to collect them which written in English.

This time I read Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This is really famous story and I like it! When I was a kid, I saw this movie, and I thought what an interesting movie! I like Dopey very much, because he is always dopey and pretty!
I want to read different type of the book next.
